La septième édition de la Conférence africaine sur la paix et la sécurité (APSACO) s’est déroulée sur deux journées enrichissantes, les 10 et 11 juillet 2023. La conférence, organisée par le Policy Center for the New South, a rassemblé une pléiade d’experts du monde entier, représentant divers secteurs d’activité, sur le thème “Reconstruction post-conflit en Afrique”. Elle s’articulait autour de 6 panels ainsi que d’une discussion autour du Rapport annuel sur la géopolitique de l’Afrique 2023 :

- Panel 1 : L’approche africaine de la sécurité collective

- Panel 2 : Réconciliation et reconstruction politique

- Panel 3 : Gouvernance de la sécurité préventive

- Panel 4 : Inclusion des femmes et des jeunes dans le processus de consolidation

- Panel 5 : Reconstruction et développement face aux contraintes financières

- Panel 6 : Un partenariat institutionnel international efficace pour la consolidation de la paix

- Discussion: Rapport annuel sur la géopolitique de l’Afrique

La conférence APSACO réunit des experts de différentes régions du monde, représentant des secteurs d’activité allant du politique au militaire, en passant par l’académique, sans oublier les acteurs de la société civile afin de promouvoir des échanges de haut niveau sur la paix et la sécurité en Afrique. Cette conférence annuelle offre une plateforme favorisant l’analyse des structures et institutions de paix et de sécurité en Afrique en mettant l’accent sur les atouts du continent, son histoire et sa capacité à surmonter les défis actuels et émergents et à acquérir un avantage compétitif mondial.
