Nusrat Farooq is currently Technology and Programs Associate at Global Internet Forum to Counterterrorism (GIFCT) in Washington DC, United States. She is an engineer turned investigative researcher and practitioner with six years of work experience in diverse fields such as academia, think tanks, development, human rights and conflict mediation organizations both in India and the United States. She is a core member of Extremism and Gaming Research Network and an associate member of Women Regional Network-India. Her recent co-authored book chapter “Hate in the Times of Covid-19: Can we Blame the Print Media in India?” got published in Routledge publication.
