Drawing on Professor Aspinwall's work on Latin America, the discussion sheds light on the evolution of renewable energy adoption. The analysis emphasizes the importance of considering the specific needs of local populations and sharing information to ensure sufficient transparency beforehand, which can help build consensus about the transition. The experiences of these countries also underscore the importance of taking into account the conflicts that arise from differing perspectives on policy priorities and finding ways to implement policies despite these trade-offs.
