J. Peter Pham is the director of the Atlantic Council's Africa Center. He is also the incumbent vice president of the Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa (ASMEA), and is editor-in-chief of ASMEA's Journal of the Middle East and Africa. Pham was previously senior vice president of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, and editor of its bimonthly journal, American Foreign Policy Interests. He was also a tenured associate professor of justice studies, political science, and Africana studies at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where he was director of the Nelson Institute for International and Public Affairs. Eniola Mafe-Abaga is Global Advocacy and Partnerships Director at Bridges to Prosperity (B2P), where she leads global advocacy, systems-change partnerships and government engagement to position rural transport access as a development priority. Working with national governments and partners, B2P has supported the construction of more than 650 bridges across 21 countries, connecting over 4.5 million people to schools, markets and healthcare. Previously, Eniola led advocacy coalitions at the World Economic Forum, mobilising more than 20 partners, including governments, UN agencies and technology companies, to advance the use of emerging technologies in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
