Le Tchad face au FACT : une offensive de rebelles et une résistance d’Etat

Le décès du président tchadien Idriss Deby, lors d’affrontements entre l’armée et les rebelles du FACT, a donné lieu à une prise de pouvoir par la junte militaire dirigée par Mahamat Deby, fils de l’ancien président. Le FACT, créé en 2016 dans le but de renverser le régime de Deby-père, à la tête du pays pendant près de trente ans, se trouve confronté au fils du président défunt. Ce Papier revient sur les origines du groupe rebelle, les affrontements fatals pour Idriss Deby, et sur la mise en place d’un Conseil militaire de Transition Militaire. Il se propose, aussi, d’explorer les enjeux diplomatiques et sécuritaires de la région.
