Investissement agricole en Afrique : un niveau faible… de nombreuses opportunités

L’investissement agricole est une condition nécessaire pour développer et organiser le secteur agricole en Afrique. Le potentiel agricole Africain présente des opportunités à saisir en termes d’intensification de production et structuration des chaines des chaines de valeurs agricoles. Bien que diversifié (issu de plusieurs sources publiques, privées et étrangères), l’investissement agricole demeure faible. Le basculement vers une agriculture moderne et intensive doit nécessairement passer par l’élaboration d’une politique agricole globale qui prend en considération plusieurs volets (irrigation, utilisation des inputs et organisation des circuits) et aboutit à la fin à une production agricole suffisante capable d’assurer la sécurité alimentaire de la population et à un secteur agricole actif et bien intégré dans l’économie des pays africains.
