D’un côté, la Russie ambitionne de contrer les ambitions occidentales et accroître son influence sur d’autres parties du globe sensibles aux idées anti-occidentales. D’un autre côté, l’Occident cherche non seulement à affaiblir la Russie pour la dissuader d’envahir d’autres pays à l’avenir, mais aussi à l’isoler afin de restreindre sa sphère d’influence.
