تسهم مشاركة النساء في الأنشطة الاقتصادية في تحقيق نمو مستدام، وهي عامل رئيسي لنمو الطبقة المتوسطة. ومع ذلك، فإن عدد النساء اللاتي يعملن في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا صغير جدا. وقد سجَّلت المنطقة ككل أدنى معدلات مشاركة النساء في القوى العاملة في العالم - 22% فقط في 2020 بالمقارنة مع 77% للرجال – كما ترتفع معدلات البطالة بصورة أكثر حدة بين صفوف النساء مقارنة بالرجال. فما هي التحديات التي تواجهها النساء في الانضمام إلى القوى العاملة، وما الذي يمكن عمله لإزالة هذه الحواجز والقيود القانونية والمالية التي تعيقهن من الوصول العادل إلى الفرص؟

Imane Lahrich is the Head of Research Valorization Department, having previously served as a Partnerships & Research Support Officer at the Policy Center for the New South since 2019. She mainly worked on security-development related projects. She has experience as a Project Manager in a Strategic Intelligence firm (2017-2019) and as a research consultant in the MENA region, focusing on international development and the Rule of Law. Imane Lahrich holds a Master's in Political Studies and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Mohammed V University of Rabat.
