L'agriculture occupe une place stratégique dans l'économie marocaine, mais sa transformation reste confrontée à des défis structurels majeurs. Dans cet entretien, les intervenants reviennent sur les limites des politiques agricoles menées depuis l'indépendance, notamment l'objectif d'autosuffisance alimentaire, et analysent les enjeux liés à la gestion de l'eau, au foncier agricole et aux choix de politique commerciale. Boutaina Lmasrar is a Junior Economist at the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS). At PCNS, she conducts research on topics related to agroeconomics, agroecology, and sustainable development. Prior to joining PCNS in 2025, Boutaina contributed to research projects at the Africa Business School of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). She holds an engineering degree in Statistics and Applied Economics from the National Institute of Statisticsand Applied Economics (INSEA) in Rabat, Morocco. Hassane Serghini Idrissi is an agro-economist and agricultural statistician. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University and an agricultural engineering degree from the Agronomic and Veterinary Institute Hassan II in Rabat. He served as Director of Planning and Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Agriculture in Morocco.
