Karim El Aynaoui, Executive President of the Policy Center for the New South, will participate in Session 48 of the Rencontres Economiques d’Aix-en-Provence, entitled “Wealth and Value Sharing as a Solution to Inequalities,” on July 4, 2026, at Parc Jourdan in Aix-en-Provence. The session will bring together leading policymakers, economists, business leaders, and academics to examine the role that value-sharing mechanisms can play in addressing persistent social and economic inequalities.

Against a backdrop of widening income disparities and growing concerns over social cohesion, the discussion will explore whether wealth and value sharing can constitute an effective lever for reducing inequality and supporting more inclusive growth. Participants will reflect on the respective roles of businesses and public authorities in promoting fairer economic outcomes, as well as on the opportunities and limitations of existing models in tackling poverty and fostering shared prosperity.
