Tariq Darkaoui is a Motion Graphic Designer and Video Editor at the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS). He works within the Studio and Audiovisual Technical Support Department, where he develops visual branding, motion graphics, and audiovisual content for political, economic, and geopolitical programs. His work includes hybrid webinars, explanatory videos, and digital campaigns that support the Center’s mission in Africa and beyond.
Before joining the PCNS in 2020, Tariq contributed to several projects with national and international organizations, including collaborations with the Digital Learning Lab of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), where he helped create educational content for African learners. He also participated in audiovisual and digital communication initiatives with public institutions and private media partners, producing animation, branding, and broadcast content.
Tariq has strong experience in broadcast production, IP contribution systems, and streaming solutions, managing complete audiovisual pipelines from capture to digital distribution. His expertise covers Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Cinema 4D, along with studio systems including vision mixers, broadcast cameras, playout servers, and Talkback systems.
He holds a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Development from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Settat and a Technical Diploma in Multimedia Development from the Specialized Institute of Applied Technology NTIC. He is also an experienced online instructor with years of teaching in video editing and motion graphics.
