Mokhtar Ghailani is the Chief Editor at the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS), a position he has held since 2017.
At the PCNS, Mokhtar Ghailani oversees editorial work related to the Center’s publications, contributing his extensive experience in journalism and strategic communication to support the institution’s editorial excellence and research valorization at large.
Before joining the PCNS in 2017, Mokhtar Ghailani held several senior editorial roles including as Editor-in-Chief of the Revue des Forces Armées Royales (2006-2016), contributing journalist to La Vie Éco where he produced a monthly supplement on the Euro-Mediterranean partnership (2005-2006), and journalist at the daily Libération (1995-2005), where he became Editor-in-Chief in 2003. He also served as a correspondent for the French daily La Croix (1999-2000).
Mokhtar Ghailani holds an undergraduate degree (licence) in International Relations from University Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Institute for Entrepreneurial Training in Nancy, and a Diplôme d’Études Supérieures Approfondies (DESA) in Geopolitics and Defense from University Mohammed V (UM5).
He is fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish.
