Mohiedine BENTAHAR
Manager – General Support

Mr. Mohiedine Bentahar is Head of the Governance, Events, and General Affairs Department at the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS).

At the PCNS, Mr. Bentahar oversees the delivery of specialized services in finance and administration, conference management, information systems, and audiovisual production for the Center’s events. He also serves as Secretary to the Center’s governing bodies, including the General Assembly and the Board of Directors, and is a member of several board-affiliated committees such as the Audit Committee, the Ethics Committee, and the Careers Committee.

Before joining the PCNS in 2019, Mr. Bentahar served as Secretary General of the School of Governance and Economics (EGE) in Rabat, a higher education institution.

He also held the position of Director of the Support Division in a Moroccan public institution, where he supervised the Human Resources, Finance, and Logistics departments. Earlier in his career, he served as Regional Director of Public Works within the Moroccan public administration, overseeing the implementation of major infrastructure projects.

Mr. Bentahar holds an Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from the École Centrale de Nantes (France) and a postgraduate diploma (DESS) in Project Analysis and Management from the University of Lille (France).

He is fluent in Arabic and French and has a good command of English.
