The Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) is looking for a curious, dynamic, and proactive intern to join its Press & Media Relations team.
Beyond contributing to the team’s day-to-day activities, this internship is designed as a hands-on professional experience. The intern will actively contribute to strengthening the visibility of PCNS and its experts in the media, bring forward new ideas and approaches, and take ownership of a dedicated project, from concept to implementation.

YOUR MISSION
Working alongside the Press & Media Relations team, you will contribute to the implementation of PCNS’s media strategy and help strengthen its relationships with journalists and media partners in Morocco and internationally.
Your responsibilities will include :
•Contributing to the media promotion of PCNS publications, research, events, and experts;
•Monitoring media and social media to identify emerging topics, trends, and opportunities for PCNS and its experts to contribute to the public debate;
•Identifying media opportunities and proposing relevant topics, angles, and formats to increase the visibility and impact of PCNS research;
•Drafting and preparing press releases, press kits, media briefs, and other media-oriented content in French, Arabic, and English;
•Supporting the organization and coordination of interviews and media requests involving PCNS experts;
•Conducting regular media monitoring, tracking press coverage, and contributing to its analysis;
•Contributing to the preparation and coordination of press activities around PCNS events, particularly the Atlantic Dialogues;
•Identifying new media outlets, journalists, formats, and channels that could help expand PCNS’s media reach;
•Being proactive in suggesting new practices, tools, and formats that could further develop the Center’s press and media relations.

A PROJECT OF YOUR OWN
We believe an internship should also be an opportunity to take on real responsibility. During your internship, you will therefore be entrusted with a concrete project to develop and lead, aligned with the team’s priorities.
Following an initial scoping phase with the team, you will help define the project, propose your own approach, and take responsibility for its progress through to implementation or final presentation.
The objective is to give you the opportunity to turn your ideas into action, develop greater autonomy, and complete a project with tangible results that you can showcase at the end of your internship.

YOUR PROFILE
You are currently pursuing a Master’s-level degree (Bac+4/Bac+5) in journalism, communication, international relations, political science, or a related field.
You have :
•Excellent command of French, as well as a good level of English and Arabic;
•Strong writing and editorial skills, with a keen interest in current affairs and the media;
•A solid understanding of the digital and media landscape;
•Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
•Good command of office productivity tools, particularly Excel;
•The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
Above all, we are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and eager to contribute ideas — someone who takes initiative rather than simply waiting to be assigned tasks.
You are comfortable managing several priorities at once, working to deadlines, and adapting to a fast-paced environment. You demonstrate diplomacy, flexibility, open-mindedness, and enthusiasm, and you are comfortable working in an international setting.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN FROM THIS INTERNSHIP
You will join a team working at the intersection of research, expertise, international affairs, and the media. You will interact with researchers, experts, journalists, and media partners, while contributing to the media coverage of conferences and international events.
Most importantly, you will not simply observe from the sidelines: your ideas will be valued, your initiative encouraged, and you will be trusted with meaningful responsibilities.

What We Offer:
A passionate, dynamic, multilingual, and multidisciplinary team that supports us in tackling our daily challenges.
A corporate culture built on strong values: integrity, innovation, leadership, and trust.

Due to the high volume of applications received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
