The Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) is seeking volunteers to provide support at the second edition of the Growth Summit, which will take place in Rabat on March 24th – 26th, 2026.
The Growth Summit 2026 is organized by the PCNS, in partnership with the Center for Global Development (CGD) and Growth Teams (GT), and will be held under the theme: “Economic Growth in a Changing Geopolitical and Development Landscape” on March 24-26, 2026, at PCNS headquarters, located within the Rabat Campus of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco.
Building on the success of the inaugural Growth Summit in October 2024, this second edition aims to identify tangible options and opportunities to promote economic growth in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs)– especially in light of the changing geopolitical and global development landscape. Over the course of three days, we will showcase tangible examples of growth-promoting interventions; explore growth challenges and opportunities in specific regions; and deepen relationships amongst leading academics, policymakers, funders, and practitioners working on growth.
Description of tasks
PCNS offers highly motivated students and young professionals the opportunity to play a key role in the success of the conference, gaining first-hand experience in the operational aspects of a high-level global policy dialogue. Volunteers will work closely with the PCNS staff in the lead-up to the event and contribute to a wide range of tasks, including logistics, production, communications, and media.
Qualifications
Growth Summit volunteers should demonstrate fluency in English, ideally with additional proficiency in French or Arabic, and possess strong communication skills. An interest in economic growth and growth challenges and opportunities in light of the changing geopolitical and global development landscape is preferable, alongside a readiness to work flexible hours to support logistical tasks. Experience in event management is an asset but not required. Volunteers are expected to uphold the conference's standards of punctuality, reliability, respect and professionalism throughout the event.
