Sidney Olinyk

Sidney Olinyk serves as the chief of staff for Middle East Policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the U.S. Department of Defense. Prior to her appointment at the Pentagon, Sidney worked at the Truman National Security Project where she directed the Project's Democracy & Human Rights Initiative.

She also managed the Leadership Development Department where she created and implemented strategy for membership programs for 1,000 political and foreign policy professionals across the country. Earlier in her career, Sidney worked in strategic government relations, contributing to comprehensive political strategy for international clients in the Middle East and Africa. Sidney holds a master’s in global politics from the London School of Economics and a dual bachelor’s from American University in Washington, DC.
