Robbert van Eerd

Robbert van Eerd is a US-trained international economist working for Morningstar Sustainalytics, advising institutional investors on sustainable finance and ESG. He previously worked for the OECD in Paris, France and the World Bank in Washington, D.C. He was active as a leader in the Global Shapers Community, the youth initiative of the World Economic Forum. Robbert is an enthusiast believer in the private sector as a driver for innovation, sustainability and social change. 

Robbert is a part-time foreign policy advisor to the Christian-Democratic Party of the Netherlands, and is helping to draft the programme for the EU elections in 2024. Robbert holds a bachelor's degree from University College Utrecht, and a master’s degree in international economics and international relations from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Robbert was a Marshall Memorial Fellow (2022-2023) with the German Marshall Fund of the United States, a think tank promoting transatlantic relations. 

Robbert is professionally fluent in English and Dutch and proficient in French and German. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, hiking, traveling to new cities and countries, and meeting new people.
