José Antonio Batista de Moura Ziebarth is an experienced professional with expertise in regulation, competition policy, infrastructure, M&A, and project finance. 

He has been a university lecturer and a senior advisor at the Brazilian Competition Authority, where he also led the agency’s internship program. He holds a master’s degree in competition, innovation, and information law from New York University, a master’s of law degree from Universidade de São Paulo, and a master’s degree in business economics from the Getulio Vargas Foundation São Paulo School of Economics. He is a recipient of the Vanderbilt Medal and the President’s Service Award, and has published research on regulatory issues, competition law, policy coordination, and Latin American development strategy.
