Isabela Carvalho

Isabela Carvalho is the Knowledge Director at Ashoka, global organization that identifies and supports leading social entrepreneurs and changemakers. She also serves on the board of the Washington Brazil Office, think tank that bridges advocacy and knowledge between Brazil and the United States.

Throughout her career, Isabela has led integration and advocacy efforts for the United Nations in Angola; managed programs for WINGS, a global network that supports philanthropy infrastructure; and implemented a Fellowship program for Yunus & Youth, a social business initiative supported by Muhammad Yunus that connects young social entrepreneurs with mentors from the corporate sector.

Isabela holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism (Brazil) and a Master's degree in Communications and Development (Spain). Her professional journey has shaped strong skills in multi-sector program management and stakeholder engagement, along with a deep commitment to social innovation and social justice. She currently splits her time between Rio de Janeiro and Washington, D.C.
