Marc-Antoine Eyl-Mazzega is the Director of the Center for Energy & Climate at the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri), having joined Ifri in 2017. His research interests include low carbon technologies, oil and gas markets, producers and rentier states, International Oil Companies and National Oil Companies, and the European Green Deal. Prior to joining Ifri, he spent six years at the International Energy Agency (IEA), notably as Russia & Sub-Saharan Africa Programme Manager where he conducted oil and gas market analyses and was responsible for institutional relations with these countries and regions. He held various other positions, such as at the Robert Schuman Foundation, being in charge of a Ukraine observatory.
