Imad Hajjaji
Program Officer - Knowledge Management

Imad Hajjaji is an AI Engineer serving as a Program Officer (Knowledge Management) at the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS).

At the PCNS, Imad Hajjaji develops AI-driven platforms and solutions including internal and public-facing chatbots, a multilingual translation platform, strategic intelligence tools, and automated knowledge workflows.

He recently defended his PhD in Computer Science and Telecommunications at Morocco's National Institute of Posts and Telecommunications (INPT), where his research focused on deep learning architectures for electrical demand forecasting and smart grid monitoring, with peer-reviewed publications in international journals and conferences.

Before joining the PCNS in 2024, Imad Hajjaji worked as a Data Scientist in the telecommunications sector and at the Digital Innovation Center of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), where he led teams building labor market intelligence platforms, vehicle detection systems, and course recommendation engines.

He holds an engineering degree in Operations Research and Data Science from Morocco's National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA).

His research interests span deep learning for time-series forecasting, IoT-based energy monitoring, LLMs and agentic AI systems, and AI governance.

He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
