Taoufik Abbad is Deputy Director in charge of Monitoring Economic Analysis and Forecasts at Department of Studies and Financial Forecast (DEPF) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. He is also a Visiting Professor at UM6P. He holds a degree from Centre d'Etudes en Macroéconomie et Finance Internationale (CEMAFI) at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis, France. His areas of expertise include macroeconomic analysis, inequalities and the impact of reforms on economic development. He is the author of several studies and published a book in 2017 titled “Capital Accumulation and Productivity Gains in Morocco”, edited by the Policy Center for the New South.
