Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South, Hinh T. Dinh, will be participating in the Think20 (T20) events taking place in Mysuru, India, on 1-2 August 2023. His involvement is indicative of the initiative's commitment to use the expertise of leading thinkers in addressing key policy issues pertaining to the G20.

This engagement is organized under the auspices of SAIIA, which co-convenes the Think20 Africa Standing Group Secretariat, aiming to boost the involvement of Africa-based think tanks in T20's activities. As momentum builds for the African Union to join the G20, the necessity for African think tanks, like the Policy Center for the New South, to contribute to a variety of issues on the G20's agenda is more important than ever.

The summit will feature a panel discussion coordinated by SAIIA to explore the link between the global financial system and macroeconomic policy making to enhance climate resilience in the Global South. A T20 Africa Standing Group Meeting is also scheduled, further emphasizing the central role of African think tanks in the G20 dialogue.
