The  Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) in partnership with the Economic Research Forum (ERF) is organizing a hybrid closed-door workshop under the theme  " Stabilization and Adjustment Towards Inclusive and Sustainable Policies in Mena: The Moroccan Study " taking place on March 20th, 2023 starting at 10h30.

ERF launched a research project on Stabilization and Adjustment in MENA, conducted in collaboration with the Finance for Development Lab (FDL), with the aim to clarify the macro-economic risks related to external and internal balances (and the sustainability of public and external debt), and to propose an overall strategy for dealing with these risks. The project concerns the oil importing middle-income countries of the MENA region - Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Sudan, and Jordan.

The aim of this workshop, composed of maximum 20 participants, is to present the report and discuss the Moroccan case study main focus, and exchange ideas and feedback with experts and stakeholders. The goal is to identify country specific challenges and priorities that can help neutralize the risks ahead.
