Shifting Geopolitics: Power-to-X as a Global Game Changer

The Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) and the Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN) are co-organizing a panel within the World Power to X Summit 2025 under the theme: Shifting Geopolitics: Power-to-X as a Global Game Changer.

As global efforts toward decarbonization intensify, Power-to-X (PtX) technologies are emerging as a strategic inflection point in the global energy transition. The production and trade of green molecules such as green hydrogen, ammonia, synthetic fuels, and other derivatives are not only reshaping industrial strategies but also redrawing global geopolitical and trade maps.

This panel will explore how countries like Morocco and its regional partners are positioning themselves as key producers in future PtX value chains, and how traditional energy-importing regions are developing strategic alliances to secure access to these clean molecules.
