The Policy Center for the New South and the Japan Center for Moroccan Studies are co-organizing a seminar titled "Reviewing the Legal Debate on the Sahara Conflict from an integrated perspective", to be held on July 5, 2025, in Sapporo, Japan.

The seminar aims to shed light on the recent publication by Professor Shoji Matsumoto, The Sahara Conflict: Reviewing the Legal Debate from an Integrated Perspective.

The book offers an integrated and evidence-based legal perspective, contributing to broader discussions on territorial integrity, self-determination, and the role of international law in conflict resolution.

By bringing together scholars, legal experts, and policymakers, the seminar intends to contribute to the broader discussions around the topic.
