The Engineering Symposium for Africa (ESA) is a high-level platform that interrogates and  shapes the role of engineering in Africa’s development at a moment of structural tension and  strategic opportunity. Across the continent, the core bottleneck is no longer the diagnosis of  development needs, but the ability to design, deliver, and operate complex systems at scale.  Whether in electricity, transport, water, industrial value chains or digital connectivity, Africa’s  growth potential is increasingly constrained, not by a lack of ambition or projects, but rather  by infrastructure gaps, weak delivery ecosystems, and fragmented investment pipelines.
