The European Think Tanks Group (ETTG) and the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) are holding a public session titled “The New Geometry of Power: Reimagining Global Governance for a Multipolar Era,” which will take place at the Policy Center for the New South’s premises in Rabat on Monday, 6 July 2026, at 18:00.

The global geopolitical landscape is no longer shaped by single centers of power. As African nations increasingly assert their strategic agency and navigate complex, multi-vector foreign policies—balancing relationships from Europe to Asia—the traditional grammar of international partnerships is being rewritten. This debate will help understand how Africa and Europe can co-design a new model of sovereign equality and mutual resilience. Following the momentum of the 7th AU-EU Summit in Luanda and the accelerating rollout of the Global Gateway Africa-Europe Investment Package, the core question has shifted from transactional assistance to structural co-investment.

Featuring a panel of global experts, including leadership from academia, think tanks, and policy making institutions, this session will look beyond historical legacies to map out concrete, joint strategies for an increasingly fragmented world
