Mentorship Program – Kick-Off Event
From

Closed-door event
The Policy Center for the New South and the Youth Policy Center (YPC) are organizing the Mentorship Program Kick-Off Event on Friday, March 27, 2026, at PCNS headquarters in Rabat.
This event will mark the official launch of the program, bringing together a carefully selected cohort of six master’s students aged 22–25, each paired with a PCNS mentor duo: one Senior Fellow and one Expert. It will introduce the structure, objectives, and expectations of the mentorship journey, while setting the foundation for a rigorous and impactful research experience.
Jointly implemented by the Policy Center for the New South and the Youth Policy Center, the Mentorship Program is designed as a high-value, intergenerational learning opportunity for emerging, policy-oriented researchers. By connecting students directly with PCNS Senior Fellows and Experts, the program creates a unique platform for intellectual exchange, capacity building, and exposure to real-world policy challenges.
Through a structured and hands-on mentorship framework, participants receive personalized guidance to sharpen their research questions, strengthen their analytical frameworks, and enhance their policy-writing skills. The program also fosters critical thinking, intellectual engagement, and the ability to translate research into actionable policy recommendations.
Running from March to June 2026, the program combines mentorship, research guidance, and thematic exchanges aimed at empowering the next generation of thought leaders. It will culminate in the production of policy briefs, contributing fresh and relevant perspectives to ongoing policy debates, with selected briefs published on the Youth Policy Center platform.
