Otaviano Canuto, Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South, will participate in ODI Global’s “The Future of IDA: A Technical Working Group” initiative, taking place in London on September 15-16, 2026. The initiative brings together experts to discuss the future of the International Development Association (IDA) and its support for lower-income countries.

As part of the workshop, Otaviano Canuto will serve as lead discussant in Session 5, “How can IDA better support lower-income countries in managing macroeconomic shocks?”, contributing to discussions on strengthening IDA’s response to macroeconomic shocks and vulnerabilities.
