This event is part of the Future of Development Cooperation Coalition (FDCC), an independent global initiative established to shape a bold, shared vision for the future of development cooperation. Co-hosted by the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) and the Center for Global Development (CGD), the Coalition brings together leaders and partners to explore how development cooperation can better respond to a world being transformed by geopolitical change, climate pressures, technological disruption, and demographic shifts. Through consultations held across 2026, the FDCC is examining the purpose of development cooperation, how it operates in practice, and how it must adapt to meet emerging global challenges.

The event will feature a moderated discussion, followed by facilitated group discussions led by experts, creating space for participants to exchange perspectives, reflect on key issues, and help inform the Coalition’s ongoing work.
