The Policy Center for the New South, the NATO Defense College Foundation, the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme, the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and the Middle East Institute Switzerland are co-organizing the 2024 edition of the Energy Strategies conference under the theme “Africa, NATO, and Energy Security of Supply”. The conference will take place in Rome on Tuesday, April 16th.

This event will serve as a platform to explore key strategic energy issues on the African continent, such as the influence of Africa's resource diversity on Europe-Africa relations, the potential evolution of partnerships between the African Union and the Atlantic Alliance amidst global and regional energy shifts, and the role of Italy and its allies in fostering a more integrated energy market that engages both public and private stakeholders. Through three panels, experts from a range of institutions will provide valuable insights into these critical topics, especially in light of ongoing geopolitical challenges.
