Energy Strategies 2024 : Africa, NATO and energy security of supply

Ms. Nouzha Chekrouni, Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South, and Ms. Afaf Zarkik, Senior Economist at the PCNS, will be speaking at the Energy Strategies 2024 Africa, NATO and energy security of supply conference. The conference is organised in cooperation with the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme, the Policy Center for the New South, the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, the NATO Defense College and the Middle East Institute Switzerland.
The high-level focusing on African energy strategies amidst global concerns about energy security. The conference will be holding three panels, each examining a key topic: The influence of Africa's abundant energy resources on its relationship with Europe, potential collaboration between the African Union and the Atlantic Alliance amidst changing energy dynamics due to events like the Ukraine conflict, and Italy's involvement in promoting a more integrated energy market with allied nations. Over the three panels, a pool of speakers from relevant and diverse institutions involved in the topics will provide insights on this essential issue from various angles.
