Mahmoud Arbouch, Economist at Policy Center for the New South, will be speaking at the Panel on “ Economic Developments and the role of external actors” during the Second Annual KAS-MEDAC Alumni Conference, intitled “Euro-Mediterranen Relations in Changing Times - Shifting Alliances and New Dynamics”.

The Regional Program Political Dialogue South Mediterranean of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS PolDiMed) and the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies (MEDAC) are jointly organizing the Annual Alumni Circle conference, bringing together KAS-MEDAC scholars, alumni, decision makers, and experts to facilitate dialogue on Euro-Mediterranean relations in the face of rapid and multifaceted regional developments. This year's conference explores the influence of external actors, economic development, and the evolving approaches to cooperation between European and Southern Mediterranean countries in light of migration and mobility.

Mahmoud Arbouch
Senior Economist
Mahmoud Arbouch is a Senior Economist at the Policy Center for the New South. His research focuses on macroeconomics of development, regional economics and territorial development, infrastructure and transportation economics, as well as industrial policy and international trade. Mahmoud’s work combines rigorous quantitative methods with field-based sectoral analysis and has been published in academic journals and policy platforms, including contributions to the Think20 engagement group of the G20.Mahmoud holds an engineering degree in Statistics and Applied Economics from the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA, Rabat) and a PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (FGSES-UM6P ...
