Democracy in the Digital Age

Fadila Filali, Manager of Youth Leadership Initiatives at the Policy Center for the New South, will take part as a speaker in the International Conference on Democracy, Development and Human Rights, organized by Fundação 3D in Praia, Cabo Verde, on 13 March 2026.
She will intervene in Panel I: “Democracy in the Digital Age” with a presentation titled “Democracy and Youth: An African Perspective,” highlighting the role of young people in strengthening democratic participation and shaping the future of governance across Africa.
The conference will bring together a diverse group of international speakers and experts to examine the intersection of democracy, sustainable development, human rights, and digital transformation, offering comparative perspectives and forward-looking reflections on the future of democratic governance in Africa and beyond.
