1959–2019 | 60e anniversaire de la création des institutions publiques du développement

Le Policy Center for the New South à travers son Président, Dr. Karim El Aynaoui et de ses Senior Fellows, M. Larabi Jaidi et M. Fathallah Oualalou, participera à la table ronde organisée par la Fondation Abderrahim Bouabid sous le thème « Quelle est l’actualité d’un retour sur le rôle de l’État dans le modèle de développement ? » à l’occasion du 60ème anniversation de la création des institutions publiques du développement au Maroc.

M. Fathallah Oualalou interviendra à la session (1) modérée par M. Ali Bouabid sous le thème « La question du modèle de développement aux lendemains de l’indépendance » aux côtés de Allal Belarbi, Hassan Belkhayat, Hassan Chami et Hind Kadiri.

Dr. Karim El Aynaoui interviendra à la session (2) modérée par M. Larabi Jaidi sous le thème « La création de la Banque d’État du Maroc : Souveraineté monétaire et développement économique. » aux côtés de Mohamed Benmoussa, Zouhair Chorfi, Mohamed Taamouti

La table ronde se tiendra le 27 septembre 2019 à 16h, CDG, Rabat.

Karim El Aynaoui
Executive President
Karim El Aynaoui is Executive President of the Policy Center for the New South. He is also Executive Vice-President of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and Dean of its Humanities, Economics and Social Sciences Cluster. Karim El Aynaoui is an economist. From 2005 to 2012, he worked at the Central Bank of Morocco where he held the position of Director of Economics, Statistics, and International Relations. At the Central Bank of Morocco, he was in charge of the Research Department and equally a member of the Governor’s Cabinet. Previously, he worked for eight years at the World Bank as an Economist for its regional units of the Middle East and North Africa and Africa. Larabi Jaïdi
Senior Fellow
Larabi Jaïdi is a Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South and an Affiliate Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. His areas of expertise include international economy, economic policies, international economic relations, regional economies, social development, international relations, and Mediterranean studies. He also served on the Special Commission on the New Development Model of Morocco, a consultative body created in November 2019 to formulate the country's new developmental guidelines. Fathallah Oualalou
Senior Fellow
Fathallah Oualalou is an economist, Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South.  He obtained his PhD in economics from the University of Paris in 1968. Prior to joining the Policy Center for the New South, he served as a professor at Mohammed V University in Rabat and other higher education institutions in Morocco, and as an associate professor at several foreign universities. He is the author of numerous books and articles in the fields of economic theory, financial economics, international economic relations, the economies of Maghreb countries, the Arab world, and the Euro-Mediterranean area.
