Erasmus Global Partnerships MENA Forum , Fostering Global Citizenship Education to Move Beyond the SDGs

In the framework of Erasmus Global Partnership’s MENA Forum, the Policy Center for the New South will be represented by its Senior Fellow Mohamed Loulichki in the Fishbowl discussion “The role of Global Citizenship Education in Building a Culture of Peace” on March 1st 2020.

In addition, the Policy Center for the New South will host Erasmus Global Partnership’s Policy Dialogue on March 2nd 2020 under the theme “Fostering Global Citizenship Education to Move Beyond the SDGs”.

The Policy Dialogue will engage a diverse group of policy and decision makers from the MENA region, the European Union and the United Nations, and serve as a platform to:

    -  Present Policy Recommendations and Innovation Lab projects developed during the EGP MENA Forum;

    -  Discuss the needs of Civic Society Organizations and Entrepreneurs from MENA and Europe and how governments and international donors could support them;

    -  Identify the opportunities to bridge UN 2030 and AU 2063 agendas in the fields of Youth, Entrepreneurship and Education.

Mohammed Loulichki
Senior Fellow
Mr. Loulichki is a Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South and Affiliate Professor at the Faculty of Governance, Economic and Social Sciences of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), who focuses on Diplomacy, conflicts resolution and Human rights. He has an extensive experience of 40 years in diplomacy and legal affairs. He assumed inter alia the functions of Head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Treaties in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also Ambassador of Morocco in Hungary, Bosnia – Herzegovina and Croatia (1995-1999), Ambassador Coordinator of the Government of Morocco with MINURSO (1999 – 2001), Ambassador of Morocco to the United Nations in Geneva (2006-2008) and New York (2001-2003 and 2008-2014), as well as President of the Security ...
