The Euro-Mediterranean Network for Economic Studies (EMNES) organizes its Third Annual Conference – 2019: “Towards A Regional Integration and Employment Driven Socio-Economic Model in the Mediterranean: A Comprehensive Policy Roadmap”. 

The EMNES Annual Conference 2019 will debate what future model of economic development and cooperation can be envisaged. The conference will bring together the views of the EU, the South Med countries and the main players active in the region.

As a member of the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Economic Studies, the Policy Center for the New South will contribute to the discussions and will be represented by the agroeconomist Fatima Ezzahra Mengoub, who will speak about the Blue transition.

The event will take place at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels on 27-28 July 2019.

Fatima Ezzahra Mengoub
Chief Agroeconomist at OCP Foundation
Fatima Ezzahra Mengoub is a researcher and policy analyst specializing in agriculture and rural development. She holds a PhD in Economics and an engineering degree in agriculturaleconomics from the Hassan II Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Sciences. She currently holds the position of Chief Agroeconomist at the OCP Foundation, following her previous role as Senior Economist at the Policy Center for the New South. She has lectured in economics and decision-making at several institutions and published extensively on agricultural investment, value chains, and irrigation. Her expertise informs agricultural policy and development across Africa and beyond. ...
