From
The Policy Center for the New South welcomes a delegation from the China-Africa Institute (CAI) and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) for a roundtable discussion on "China-Africa Cooperation under the Framework of the Global South." This visit provides an opportunity to reflect on the evolving dynamics of South-South cooperation and the growing role of China and Africa in today’s complex world. As economic and geopolitical shifts continue to redefine international relations, this conversation will explore how we can work together to address shared challenges and seize new opportunities.
The discussions will explore key issues such as peace and security, economic development, climate change, digital transformation, and cultural diplomacy. The roundtable will delve into the future of China-Africa relations, the African Union’s evolving partnership with China, and new possibilities for economic and security collaboration.
Following the roundtable discussion, a Special Graduate Discussions Series session will provide graduate students with insights into how China and Africa can collaborate more effectively in today’s rapidly changing world.
