Dans cet épisode, nous examinons les défis majeurs auxquels la CEDEAO est confrontée en matière de préservation de l'unité et de la cohésion dans la région ouest-africaine, notamment après les coups d'État récents. Nous analysons comment ces événements ont potentiellement impacté la crédibilité et l'efficacité de la CEDEAO en tant qu'organisation régionale. Nous abordons également la question cruciale de la capacité de la CEDEAO à résoudre les conflits internes et à maintenir la stabilité dans la région sans recourir systématiquement à des interventions militaires. Enfin, nous explorons la nécessité éventuelle de réformes au sein de la CEDEAO.

Hamza Mjahed
International Relations Specialist - Strategic Monitoring & Analysis Unit
Hamza Mjahed is an International Relations Specialist at the Strategic Monitoring and Analysis Unit at the Policy Center for the New South. His research focus on the Western Maghreb and examining the relationships between non-African states and the African continent.
Hamza Mjahed holds an excellence license degree in political science from Mohammed V University, Morocco, and a Master of Arts from Hochschule Furtwangen University, Germany. He is currently pursuing an MSc in the Geopolitics and Geo-economics of Emerging Africa from HEC Paris and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

Sâ Benjamin Traoré
Professor of Law, Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (FGSES-UM6P)
Professor Traoré holds a Doctorate in Law from the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland), an LLM in International Law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and a Master in Public Law from the University from Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). Prior to joining UM6P, Prof Traoré worked as the Project Manager for the African Coalition for Corporate Accountability (ACCA). His work and research focused on the role of law in regulating business-related human rights and environmental impacts in Africa, traditional fields of international law and international relations, peace and security in Africa, human rights, international humanitarian law as well as the law related to refugees and internally displaced persons.
