Rim Berahab is invited to contribute to the conference titled  “Accelerating the energy transition in Morocco : Challenges and opportunities in a changing world” organized by RES4AFRICA on October 4th 2022 in Rabat.

RES4Africa is proposing this event with the aim of promoting a discussion within the framework of the public-private dialogue on accelerating Morocco's energy transition, in light of the country's new priorities. Specific objectives include:

- Bringing together key energy stakeholders in Morocco and RES4Africa members for an open public-private dialogue on current renewable energy developments in Morocco;

- Provide an update on the partners' perspectives on important developments in the transition to sustainable energy in Morocco, understand the main challenges of the current renewable energy market in the changing dynamics of the energy sector;

- Present the main activities of RES4Africa in the Mediterranean and Morocco to define future collaboration modalities with Moroccan partners.

Rim Berahab
Senior Economist
Rim Berahab is Senior Economist at the Policy Center for the New South, which she joined in 2014. She is currently working on themes related to energy issues and their impacts on economic growth and long-term development. Her research areas also cover trade and regional integration challenges in Africa. Previously, she has also worked on questions related to gender inequalities in the labor market of North African countries. Rim spent three months at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), in 2016, in the Commodities Unit of the Research Department. She holds a State Engineering degree from the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA). ...
