Sayantan Haldar

Sayantan Haldar is an Associate Fellow with the Strategic Studies Programme of the Observer Research Foundation (ORF). He is interested in questions of geopolitics, maritime security, and regionalism in the Indian Ocean, and the Arctic. His doctoral thesis, submitted at the Department of International Relations, South Asian University, examines India’s evolving maritime security strategy in the Indian Ocean. Some of his academic work has been published in the Journal of the Indian Ocean Region, International Affairs, Maritime Studies, among others. Sayantan frequently writes opinion pieces in Hindustan Times, The Hindu, The Telegraph, etc.
