Ruby Igwe is the Country General Manager of ALX Nigeria and co-founder of Archivi.ng, a civic-tech nonprofit preserving Nigeria’s media heritage. A Nigerian lawyer and media producer, she began her career in storytelling, writing and producing for award-winning shows like MTV Shuga, before transitioning to leadership in tech and education. At ALX Nigeria, she leads a 50-person team that has trained over 117,000 young Nigerians in tech and entrepreneurship, with 40% women participation. Her work has earned her and her team multiple national awards, including Social Innovation of the Year. Ruby holds a Law degree from the University of Kent, is a Barrister of the Nigerian Bar, and is deeply passionate about systems change, youth empowerment, and storytelling.
