Ramy Abdelhady

Ramy Abdelhady has served in the Egyptian Judiciary for more than a decade, first as a Public Prosecutor and later as a Chief Judge. He holds two Master of Laws degrees with a focus on international law and human rights and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Law and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Alongside his judicial career, he has worked with United Nations agencies, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), as well as with African Union bodies, where he served as a Senior Litigation Expert before the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. He has also contributed as a researcher on human rights with regional NGOs, with his professional experience spanning criminal justice, international law, refugee protection, and human rights across Africa and the Middle East.
