Paola Maniga

Paola is Head of Projects at Fondazione Alia Falck in Milan, where she led the strategic set-up of the foundation and now oversees the scouting, development, and financing of high-impact social projects. She previously worked as a social innovation and strategic partnerships expert in the fields of arts, culture, and urban regeneration for several foundations (Fondazione Giulini, Fondazione Feltrinelli, Fondazione di Sardegna) and for a communication agency specialising in territorial and creative marketing. During more than a decade in Brussels, she served as Head of Development at Bruegel, the EU’s leading economic policy think tank, where she designed and implemented the fundraising strategy and built partnerships with corporations, EU institutions, foundations, governments, and civic organisations. She is co‑founder and Vice-President of The Brussels Binder, an online database of women policy experts promoting gender diversity in policy debates and media. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles in international trade associations. Paola holds two master’s degrees and lectures at IED Milan on public space design and urban regeneration.
