Luladay Berhanu Mengistie is the Continental Programme Manager – AUC Liaison Advisor for the African Trade Competitiveness and Market Access programme at the International Trade Centre. Prior to this role, she was an embedded Trade Advisor with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, where she advised on WTO accession and AfCFTA implementation. Luladay has over a decade of experience in international trade, law, and development, including roles with the International Trade Centre, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and consulting for the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat. She has advised on regional integration, trade facilitation, and women’s economic empowerment across Africa. Previously, she also worked with DAI’s Private Enterprise Programme Ethiopia, spearheading initiatives in the garment and horticulture sectors. Luladay holds an LL.M. from The George Washington University and an LL.B. from Addis Ababa University.
