Lisa Ventura is Head of International Partnerships at the Brazilian Association of Cotton Growers (Abrapa), the association representing 99% of Brazil's cotton production. As the world's third-largest cotton producer and largest exporter, Brazil plays a leading role in the global cotton sector, and Lisa leads Abrapa's international engagement and advocacy on sustainable cotton production, responsible agricultural practices, and evidence-based policy.
Previously, Lisa was the first Public Affairs Manager at Better Cotton Initiative, where she advocated for policies supporting sustainable cotton production, sourcing, and trade. Before that, she spent more than eight years at the World Economic Forum (WEF), managing public-private partnerships focused on business, human rights, and sustainable development. Earlier in her career, she worked at the International Commission of Jurists and McKinsey & Company.
Lisa holds an MA in International Law from SOAS University of London and a BA in European Politics from the University of Nottingham. She is also a World Economic Forum Global Leadership Fellow.
