Kátia Fenyves is a Climate Change and Sustainability Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she leads strategic operations and policy dialogues on climate finance, biodiversity, and sustainable development in Brazil. She has supported the design and implementation of innovative instruments such as the EcoInvest Program and IDB Clima pilot in Brazil, co-led major reforms advancing Brazil’s Ecological Transformation Plan, and provides technical and strategic input to the country’s preparations for COP30. With over a decade of experience across Latin America, Africa, and Europe, Kátia has a solid track record in mobilizing climate and biodiversity finance and in building partnerships with governments, development banks, and global funds such as CIF and GCF.
