Karla Godoy da Costa Lima is a Partner at GF Capital, where she develops innovation, sustainability, and decarbonization projects to attract capital from development banks, multilateral institutions, and public funding agencies. Previously, she served as Executive Director of Economic Innovation at the Pernambuco State Development Agency and Executive Secretary of Sustainability for Pernambuco. She coordinated Brazil’s first state-level normative instruction on wind and solar licensing, launched the CLIMA PE platform, and helped secure over R$60 million for reforestation and payments for environmental services. Her international experience includes work in Guatemala and the United States and representing Pernambuco at COP28, COP29, and UNCCD COP16. A Fulbright Scholar, she holds master’s degrees in Development Practice from the University of Minnesota and Political Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco.
