James Myles

James Myles currently serves in the Pan-African Affairs Bureau at Global Affairs Canada. In this role, he works closely with the African Union, including the organization of an ongoing series of High-Level Dialogues between Canadian and AU leadership since 2022. James contributed to the development of the Government of Canada's Africa Strategy—a new foreign policy launched in March 2025 aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial economic and security partnerships with African countries and institutions. From 2018 to 2019, James completed a Fellowship with Engineers Without Borders Canada, where he supported youth entrepreneurship and business development in Côte d'Ivoire and Liberia. He completed an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics in 2020.
