Aleksandra Chmielewska

Aleksandra is in charge of developing and implementing the IEMed´s innovative fundraising strategy and institutional partnerships. She is responsible for securing public and private funding for the IEMed´s programmes, as well as providing quality assurance and oversight of grants.

Prior to that she was Project Manager of an EU-funded grant, where she created a young researchers development programme and fostered multi-actor policy research dialogue. Before joining the IEMed, she worked at the Permanent Representation of Poland to the Council of Europe and at the Polish Ministry for Regional Development, where she was responsible for monitoring funds management portfolio.

As well as her work at the IEMed, she is a lecturer on Project Management at IBEI and Blanquerna - URL (Barcelona). She holds a double MA in Political Science from Sciences Po Strasbourg and Jagiellonian University and speaks fluent Polish, English, Spanish and French and has an intermediate level in Russian and Catalan.
